Among this group there are the demon dead. Legend says they are full of blood lust. Yet when Stefan and Jonnie are saved by a beautiful, petite woman it is hard to believe she is one of the feared demon dead. Lucinda is kind and concerned. Stefan knows the opposite of kindness and had to flee from his former ruthless Monere Queen. Stefan wandered aimlessly for a time until he found a Mixed Blood baby. The baby, Jonnie, gave Stefan a new reason to live. During their travels the trio meet up with Nico, a Monere warrior. Lucinda is instrumental in helping Nico escape from an evil Queen. A creature named Talon is Nico's companion and he joins the group on their journey to return Lucinda to her home realm. Despite her powers and long life, Lucinda fights both real demons as well as her own inner demons. She feels she doesn't fit into any world. Stefan and Nico are brave heroes, but the reader will be charmed by their vulnerabilities as well. All the characters are well drawn and brought to life by clever, lively dialog. The underlying themes of love, loyalty and finding your place in the world are sure to resonate with readers. This is a story that is guaranteed to stimulate both your imagination and libido. I have often passed on the fantasy genre in the past, but I now realize I have missed a lot in my ignorance. LUCINDA, DARKLY is a perfect blend of sizzling romance and heart-pounding action. I will be looking forward to more pure entertainment from this talented writer.
