Caine’s Reckoning is an erotic novel with spicy hot love scenes. Desi’s past is horrible, but she is a proud, spirited woman and rises above it all. The story with the rooster is hilarious, especially when she learns what she has to do to get around him for the eggs. Caine is a hardened Texas Ranger, but he shows his tender side to Desi and it makes the story work. Ms. McCarty gave us small peeks into each member of the Hell’s Eight and I’m looking forward to reading the other men’s stories.
